What's Trending Now?: Arm Candy

Arm Candy

So I'm sure this trend as been of notice to most of you, and probably didn't require a whole post dedicated to it, but none the less here you go ;). For some time now arm wear as gone the antithesis of the limbo..."how high can you stack?"

Unlike the days back in the early 2000's when I was in middle school and it was popular to stack the thin plastic cheapo bracelets from Claire's (in some schools apparently sexual favors were attached to these), this trend is more so about stacking your typical bracelets and bangles in uniform size and width (it's even acceptable to throw in a watch or two).

Although some people like to stack both arms, I personally like to keep it to one (usually my non-dominate hand because it can get pretty annoying trying to write with an arm full of stuff).

Some of my favorite personal style blogs have even mentioned it in their OOTD (outfit of the day) post, such as Emma at pleasureoverbusiness.com

Check out the rest of the post to see some of my top "arm candy" picks. Let me know if this is a trend you plan to participate in or already do!

  1. I also like to keep the arm candy to one arm only. It's more practical that way.

I love your picks and those photos are cute! I always have a slight problem stacking the bangles and bracelets. I just don't get how to stack them. So my arm candy tends to look a bit messy.

  4. Hi Helen, I completely agree with you! I tried to do it yesterday and it seemed like everything kept getting jumbled together at the bottom of my wrist. I think I'm going to experiment some more and see how best to make it work ;)
