How to: Salad Jars

20120813-073834.jpg

Today's "how to" is a simple salad jar recipe that I found on One Dog Woof.
It's a healthy lunch perfect for taking to work or school! The best part...it's super easy to make and can be prepared a few days in advance. Keep reading to see how to make this!

Basically the trick is to create "a parfait" of veggies. You start by putting the salad dressing on the bottom of the bowl. The first veggies to go in should be ones that are semi-impermeable and will be able to withstand sitting in the salad dressing. I choose to use green peppers and celery for my bottom layer but the recipe suggest using tomatoes. Next just continue to layer up all of your other veggies, and when your done but the salad leaves of your choice on top!! Viola! You're done.

When your ready to eat your lunch just shake up the salad in its container and pour it on to a plate. :)
