Francy Answers: What to Wear to a Super bowl Party

As you all know, this upcoming Sunday the Ravens are playing the 49ers for the super bowl title. Whether you're a football fan or as I heard one person refer to it "watching the football game that's the opening act for the Beyonce concert", chances are you'll be attending a super bowl party. Dressing for sporting events can be somewhat tricky, although you're not at the physical sporting event venue, you still want to incorporate functionality and sporty chic into your look.

In today's Francy Answers post I put together two possible looks for inspiration as well as three helpful tips to help you have a home run err umm "touch down" worthy outfit!

Option Number One:

Nike, Alexander Wang, J.Crew, Citizens of Humanity

Option Number Two:

3.1 Phillip Lim, Rebecca Minkoff, MICHAEL Michael Kors

What ever look you decide to go for, here are three tips to keep in mind...

1. When in Rome: although you might typically wear six inch heels on the regular, when it comes to going out for a super bowl party or watching the game at a local bar, its okay to retire the stilettos for a night. (If you must have your heels, try rocking a pair of trendy sneaker wedges for a sporty feminine look).

2. Show your team spirit: okay so maybe we're no longer in high school getting dressed for the big game but that doesn't mean that you can't have a little team pride. Try wearing one article of clothing in the color of your team. Not only will it help identify who your cheering for, but it will also get you more "pumped" for the event.

3. Comfortable Chic: With all that being said, just because you are attending a sporty event, doesn't mean you have to throw style to the wind. Comfort is key (especially if you plan on stuffing yourself with finger foods throughout the game) but also remember that what you wear is an extension of who you are. Hopefully the two looks I put together will be inspiration for you as you get ready for the big game tomorrow!
