Day to Night: Printed Pants

With the warmer months approaching, it’s time to ditch those plain winter pants and brighten up your wardrobe. The patterned trousers trend is becoming increasingly popular in both the UK and the States this Spring. Surprisingly, these bold statement pants are also amazingly versatile and easy to wear. Don't believe us? We put a friends’ pair to the test to see if they can go from day to night.

 

Day: Wear your patterned trousers as a casual every day look with a plain jumper or top like this Primark one here. You’ve still got a pop of colour to turn heads, but you won’t stick out like a sore thumb when browsing the high street. Embrace the warmer weather (when it finally comes) or strut down the Mediterranean streets in a cute lace cami or blouse, paired with a floppy hat and sunglasses.

Night: Drinks with the girls? Dress up your trousers with some chunky heels and a cropped top. Or if you’re tummy conscious, tuck in a blouse or shirt and add a statement necklace.

Francy Answers: How to prevent buyer's remorse

"Dear Francy, I feel like I'm constantly going shopping, then going back and returning things a week later. I seriously hate doing this but I keep shopping because I always feel like I never have ANYTHING to wear. I hate my closet so much I'm thinking of getting rid of everything and starting from scratch. If you're anything like me, you can probably empathize with this reader's dilemma. I use to have a very similar problem (and as a result still have items in my closet with price tags attached because I never wore them after purchasing). It sounds to me like the real issue is buyers remorse, a condition that although painfully annoying, is luckily preventable. Below are the three questions I try to ask myself before and while I'm shopping in order to prevent buying items I will later regret.

New Online Stomping Ground: MissguidedUS.com

If you've been following fancy francy for a while, then you've probably noticed our obsession err umm fondness for UK bloggers, UK stores, and overall UK fashion. So you can imagine our excitement when we heard one of our favorite online UK stores was crossing over the pond (so to speak) and launching a US version of their site, MissguidedUS.





If you're not familiar with Missguided yet, it's a fast fashion site, that stocks a lot of the latest trends but at a reasonable price. We fell in love with them because of their "badass" vibe, trendy clothes, and overall dopeness. True to many UK stores, they seem to have their pulse right on the latest fashions and often stock killer trends before it hits other mainstream stores.
