Ever since their re-birth into the fashion scene late last year, fashionistas, bloggers, and trendy Wendy’s alike have all been lusting after a pair. Magazines feature them on long-pinned pretty ladies; looking effortlessly cool with only a pair of stilettos, and a loose fit shirt to accompany. Despite being blinded by their obvious beauty, not all ladies possess Naomi Campbell legs, so
naturally it’s understandable that most women appear pretty nervous about cladding their legs in attention-grabbing patterns. However, patterned trousers are genuinely lovely on all shapes and sizes. Most styles are simple and fitted, leaving the ankle exposed, which gives the illusion of a really slim leg.
Unlike the gorgeous models out there, the average woman is often too active during the day to team their patterned trousers with skinny stilettos (which does look fabulous for a night out by the way) so accessorizing them instead with baggy block-coloured jumpers and slouch- fit t-shirts looks effortlessly cool. The trouser also works well if you’re going for the ladylike look. A simple flat shoe emphasises the cigarette pant style, and teamed with a simple blouse, it gives you a rather classy Audrey Hepburn look.
These pretty patterned gems are perfect for day-to-day, the key is simply to dress everything else down, and keep other colours muted. So if you’re thinking of taking the plunge- go for it, just keep these few tips in mind and you will look fabulous!
