Let me preface this by saying, I admit I don't know everything about everything. Although I seem like an endless well of knowledge, there are a few things here and there that seem to slip my notice. With that being said, I had never heard of the word "ombre" until last year. Youtube gurus got like weirdly obsessed with the ombre hair coloring trend like overnight and couldn't stop talking about it. Since Youtube is basically my cable-less college student version of television (there are only so many episodes of "Say Yes to the Dress" you can watch on Netflix, I know because I've watched them all); I watch countless episodes videos of hair and makeup videos (before you ask, the answer is yes... my interest really are just that vapid).
Ombre basically refers to a change in color gradient from darker to lighter; or can also be a two tone "dip dye" color effect.

Since my only prior association with the word "ombre" was hair related, I was surprised to see it popping up also on the runways this spring. Check the rest of the post after the jump, to see my picks for "diping" into this trend. Also, be sure to leave a comment if your interested in seeing a D.I.Y post on this trend.

***About What's Trending:
"That's Trending" is a term that I use that came from an inside joke between my friends and I. As it has evolved over time, my friend's have started to come to me to ask "What's trending?" On Fancy-Francy "What's Trending Now?" is an area where I highlight what's currently on trend or a current "obsession" of mine.
