How to: Get Back in the Gym

For some reason the moment you turn 22, your super hyper metabolism, you know, the one that use to allow you to eat seven slices of pizza in one sitting and still have a perfectly flat waist, decides to start working part time. Now all of a sudden, every time you turn around it seems like you've put on another pound shrunk your jeans in the washer again, and the only thing that fits comfortably are your leggings. Having to start watching what you eat sucks. I once won a food eating competition my sophomore year, if I did that now I would literally have to sew the back of my snuggy closed and just start wearing that to class.
As someone who use to never work out (and avoided physical labor at all cost) I struggled to get myself to go to the gym regularly until I found ways to motivate myself. The three things that motivated me to get started were:
1. Buying new work out clothes. It's hard to not want to go to the gym when you have cute workout clothes, and although sportswear inspired clothes were all over the runway for spring, realistically the only place that you look good wearing them is to the gym. 
2. Music. Once in the gym the only thing that got me to finally stop walking on the tread mill at 1.2 and to actually start running, was a killer playlist. It's hard not to get pumped when your listening to Fergie tell you why she's so Fergilious. 
3 .I couldn't fit into my suits. I bought my suits last year when I was 21, carefree and skinny. Since those suits were an investment and I'm going to eventually need them again, it was either lose the weight again or lose the investment. Clearly as a business major, I chose to lose the weight.
