Fall Style Essentials

Fall is upon us, and for many (including myself) it's our favorite season for fashion. Each year the dip in temperature allows us to experiment with layers and stylish cold weather accessories. This season I found seven pieces that are essential for every woman's wardrobe.

Now that summer is in full swing, it's important to make sure we've covered all the essentials. Here is our list of 8 summer must haves we can't wait to use this summer.

Must Have Monday

Originally I planned on talking about my recent obsession with sequin in general for today's "Must Have Monday" however I stumbled upon this little gem dress decided it was too special to share the spotlight and deserved its own dedicated post. It's called the "Rare Sequin Collar And Cuffs Shift Dress" dress and it's from Asos.com.  I really love this dress because it combines my love for chiffon and sequins and rolls it all into one big happy ball of pretty. I could so see myself rocking this on my birthday or for a fun New Year's party in the city, there's just one problem... the price. The dress cost $127 and although that's not crazy expensive, it's expensive enough that I can't justify to myself spending that amount on a dress I'm probably only going to wear once. I would love to splurge and treat myself to this dress but since I've already "treated" myself several times since payday I think I'm going to just admire this love from afar (but if it goes on sale, all bets are off).

What's Trending Now: Lady and the Vamp {Vampy Lipsticks}

 

It's not enough that we read the whole Twlight series and had to be first in line at the Breaking dawn movie premiere, now we want to look like them too?? Vampires haven't had such a good few years since.. actually since never.

But on a more serious note (since we all know fashion and beauty is just about as serious as it gets) the vampy lipstick trend is huge right now, just in time for the Autumn/ Winter season.

weekly wardrobe inspiration: Little Bow Peeps

I don't know why, but lately I have been obsessed with ties and bow ties. Well since I am a girly girl, and feel weird wearing a traditional male bow tie, I have started to love the trend of shirts and tops with attached bows. This look can be professional as well as sweetly feminine, and it can help add volume to areas where you wish you had more volume ;-)  . What's Trending Now?: Cropped Tops

"The midriff" is the new, "back", which was the new "crack" which was the old "cleavage." Still following?...In other word's, showing the midriff is the new trend in skin exposure. All over the runways and trend forecast for spring 2012, were designers, showing off the power of a good Denise Austin fitness video.

The key to this look is to pair it with a higher waisted bottom, such as a high waisted skirt or high rise shorts. By having a bottom that goes up over your belly button, you reveal only a hint of teasing skin (click here to see how that's done).
