What to wear to Made in America Music Festival

Missed Coachella and Governor's Ball again this year? Or just had so much fun you can't wait till next summer to do it again? Whichever scenario you fall into, Jayz knows your pain, and created a solution. Made in America, an annual two day music festival in Philadelphia featuring music heavy hitters from every genre. Like every other music festival, it's 50% about who's performing and 50% about what everyone's wearing. With the stakes this high, now is not the time to "wing it". Check out these inspiration guides and tips to make sure your look is festival approved.

Made in America

Fringe: If we've said it once, we've said it a million times.. Fringe is a necessity for all music festivals. Get you're obligatory fringe in with a vest, shirt, bag or even shoe (moccasins anyone?) just make sure you limit it to ONE fringed item only (don't want to end up looking like an extra from a Tarzan movie).

Screen Tees: Usually we're not the biggest fan of screen tees, but in this case we're making an exception. Nothing screams music festival enthusiast more than wearing a "band tee" of some iconic group or musician you've probably never actually listened to. The Ramones, Beetles, and legendary rappers are all good choices. Just make sure the whoever you choose is easily recognizable so people know what look you're trying to pull off.

Combat Boots: Let's face it, rain sometimes happens to good festivals. Be muddy grass (not to mention mosh pit) proof with a solid pair of doc Martin style combat boots.

Backpack: backpack purse = hands free dancing, need we say more? Just make sure you pick a stylish one that adds, instead of subtracts to the overall look of your outfit.

  1. Both style set are great choices! I wish we had these types of festivals in NC. The Ramones style set but with the Lennon shades would be my pick.

  2. I like your outfit suggestions for a concert and I can see myself wearing this in Atlanta now as the season transition to fall.
