Wardrobe Inspiration: Let Your Inner Animal Go Wild
It's no secret I love animal print (my junior year in college every square inch of my room was basically covered in leopard print) and if you've been a reader of Fancy Francy for a while you probably remember my summer post about it.
This fall, adding some sass to your style has never been easier. Animal prints are back on the runways and fortunately, it's easy to walk on the wild side. If you want to bring out your inner animal this autumn, keep reading to follow these tips provided in today's guest post by Anya Sarre.

How to Prepare Your Wardrobe for Colder Weather
With all this talk this past weekend of preparing for hurricane Sandy hitting the Northeast, I figured it would be a good idea to also make a cold weather survival list for the brisk temperatures sure to follow closely after Sandy (not to mention the surge of online shopping that sure to also accompany Sandy as we stay inside the next week days).
So now that Autumn has made it clear that it's officially taking over, what's a southern girl (who's closest thing to a winter coat is a flannel shirt) to do? Aside from the clear excuse to purchase a whole new wardrobe, its time to transition my current wardrobe with a few key items.
Keep reading to see my "essentials" and where to purchase your own!

How to Style Combat Boots: WIWW Edition
Back in late August I shared my love affair with combat boots, and promised to do a follow up post on how to wear them. Some how between attending events for New York Fashion Week, working work appropriate outfits during the week, and the somewhat warm weather we had in September, I didn't get many chances to wear my boots. So recently I decided to defiantly pair my boots with a sundress as I spent a day in the city sucking up the last few days of warm-ish weather.
I choose to do a variation of "hard as a feather light as a rock" (if you have no idea what I'm talking about check out this previous post I did) by pairing a soft flirty dress with edgy combat boots.

Look for Less: Miley Cyrus at the I Heart Music Festival
Recently Miley Cyrus was snapped out and about on the red carpet for the "I Heart Music Festival." The head turning look Miley opted for a some what straight forward look pairing a black crop top turtle neck, a silver pencil skirt, a Moschino branded belt and matching leopard print pumps. Although nothing about that look is particularly noteworthy to me (for some reason it reminds me of a look from the early 2000's back circa the movie "She's All That" and "Never been Kissed." None the less, the way in which the former Hannah Montana star rocked these pieces together seems to have impressed the Fashion Police crew, even causing a slight internet buzzing after naming the young star "best dressed."
Like the look? Want to steal this star's "best dressed" look at a more budget friendly price? Keep reading to see my picks to recreate this Fashion Police approved look!

3 Awesome Menswear tips we learned from the Gap x GQ Collection
If you follow me on twitter (and if you don't, go ahead and head on to twitter right now and do it), you know that I was really excited about the GQ for Gap line coming out. The Gap x GQ collection officially dropped on September 27th and after checking out the collection (i.e making a shopping list, remembering I don't have a boyfriend to shop for, then promptly emailing the list to all my guy friends) I found 3 key tips every guy needs to know to look his best this season.
Gap x GQ Mark McNairy Tech Blazer
1. It's okay to take your blazer out the office. Okay so maybe your actual blazer you wear to work isn't as kickass as this one, but metaphorically speaking, it's cool to keep the blazer on for that party you're heading to after work, just be sure to drop the tie.
Gap x GQ Saturdays NYC Flat Front Khaki
2. Colored jeans are sticking around for Autumn/Fall. A while back we told you the verdict was in and it was totally fine for guys to hop on the colored jeans bandwagon. Undoubtedly, I'm sure a few of you never got around to buying any new jeans and then forgot all about wanting to get some. The good news is they're still accepting applications for the colored jeans bandwagon on a rolling basis into Fall. So in case you missed the boat last time, here's a
Gap x GQ BLK DNM Slouch Cardigan
3. Sometimes nice guys DO finish FIRST. The cardigan, aka the nice guy nametag, is actually really hot right now. So go ahead, pick up one, wear it to that coffee shop down the street from your place, and finally ask out that barista you've been checking out for weeks. You'll both be glad you did.

Look for Less- Blake Lively
Blake Lively Photo Credit: dailymail.co.uk
Gossip girl star Blake Lively has great style on and off the set. Recently she was spotted shooting scenes for Gossip Girl rocking a gorgeous brown trench coat and a funky chunky scarf. Although the trench coat is definitely droll worthy, we can only guess how much that jacket most cost.
Love the look and want to see how to to get a similar look for a steal of a price? Keep reading to see my picks for recreating this look at only a fraction of the cost!
