Fancy Francy Lookercase Giveaway

Saying good bye to Summer can be hard. For many of us, summer is our chance each year to travel, hang out with friends, and enjoy the overall good weather. To make the transition into Fall just a little bit easier, I wanted to share with all of you one of my favorite accessories of all time... my iphone case! Okay, so you may be wondering how a phone case can be so awesome but trust me, it is! Since I started using this case over 6 months ago I'm absolutely in love.

The Looker case is awesome because of its incredible functionality. Not only is the case sleek and easy to hold, but it has an actual mirror that you'll quickly wonder how you ever lived without. If that wasn't enough, the icing on the cake is a card slot perfect for holding your metro card or I.D

Never has a phone case gotten as much attention from friends, family, and strangers like the Looker case. Everywhere I go people are constantly remarking on how “cool” it is that I have a mirror and a place to keep my metro card. To be honest, I never knew what I was missing in a phone case until I tried The Looker Case from Mobile Togs out.

Fashion and Technology: The Looker iPhone Case Review

If you're anything like me, then even the thought of leaving your phone at home causes you to have a mild panic attack and impulsively reach for your iPhone. Despite my extreme attachment disorder concerning my phone and my love for getting dressed up, I surprisingly have never been too concerned with what case my phone is "wearing." So when I was given the opportunity to review a new high function case for on the go fashionistas, I figured anything that would make my baby phone even more amazing was worth testing out.

The first thing I noticed about this case (besides the massive mirror of course) was how soft the material and how comfortable the case subsequently felt in my hand. The second thing I noticed was how much other people seemed to notice my case.

The Good: Never has a phone case gotten as much attention from friends, family, and strangers like the Looker case. Everywhere I go people are constantly remarking on how "cool" it is that I have a mirror and a place to keep my metro card. To be honest, I never knew what I was missing in a phone case until I tried The Looker Case from Mobile Togs out. It seems so simple and intuitive to have a realmirror on a phone case however this is the first case to actually do so. Through out my days of running around at work and the city at night, I'm constantly checking myself out to make sure everything is still as it should be and never have any issues finding my metrocard for the subway.

The Bad: My case got dirty fast! I'm talking by day three it looked like my phone had been rolling around the new york city streets bottom of a landfill. Okay so maybe that was an exaggeration but my phone case almost instantly had a dirty grayish-black color that did not go away. That was a huge bummer for me because although I love the case, I don't like walking around with an iPhone case that looks dirty. Which brings me to my second gripe, I wish the cases came in more colors and with more designs or the option to customize your case. I choose the orange Tangerine case partially because I like the color and partially because there were limited overall choices. I think in the future if they come out with a black case I would try that as I'm assuming the darker colors would have less issues with starting to look "dingy" or "dirty".

Overall I really like the case and at the price of $19.99 I feel like its a good investment to make on a case that is really high functioning (can you say "selfies" and OOTD photos for instagram and twitter are sooo much better with a built in mirror) and comfortable to hold.

Comment below and let me know what you think about this case, will you be trying it out?!

Spiked Iphone Case DIY Tutorial

Keep reading to see how you can create the ultimate iphone weapon protection case!

I've been coveting the spiked iphone case for a while now, ever since I stumbled upon one a few months back, and judging from the comments on current crush post, I'm not alone. I immediately wanted to purchase one despite the hefty $50 something price tag, but had a hard time finding any in stock.

Finally I decided what the hey, I'm a pretty crafty girl, I'm sure I could find a tutorial on how to DIY this myself!

I began to scour the internet looking for a relatively stress free and straight forward way to create this case for a reasonable price. Although one of my amazing readers linked a tutorial they found under one of my posts, I found an issue with that tutorial as well as the other similar ones I found online.

The problem with all the ones I found was that they did not actually protect your phone (the main purpose of a case). Instead most of them involved getting a rubber case and pushing the spikes through, which would inadvertently cause the spike bottoms to rub against the phone surface, scratching up your phone in the long run.

Solution...I decided to make one myself!

Materials Needed:

1. Metal Tree Spikes (can be purchased online from various websites)
2.  Hot Glue Gun ( I have an adorable mini one I purchased back in high school, don't ask why I was a teenager needing my own personal craft tools)
3. Clear Hard Plastic iphone case (instead of the rubber soft ones)
4. Marker or Sharpie

Step 1: Lay all materials out on a flat covered surface. Place the spikes on the case to determine the design/ layout you want on your case. Once your satisfied with the look, make dots on the case with your marker where you want the spikes to be

Step 2: Plug in your hot glue gun. Squeeze a drop of glue, slightly smaller in diameter than the base of the spike onto the case and quickly push the base of the spike into the glue. (Similar to the millions of craft projects they had you do in kindergarten that all basically had glue as the one and only material).

HINT: Don't worry if "string like " pieces of glue are on your case as you are using the hot glue gun, these can easily be removed once your done, with your fingers!

Step 3: Repeat step 2 until you have completed your design. Remove any "strings of glue." Since the hot glue dries very fast your case will be ready to use as soon as your finish!

Step 4: Realize that you are officially a bad ass. Congratulate yourself.

I hope you all enjoy reading this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it!! Comment below and let me know what you think of this tutorial and if you plan to try this DIY project!!!!
