Brushes are the foundation of any good makeup collection, but finding good quality brushes at a budget friendly price can be difficult. To help get your collection off to a great start here are four brands that offer great quality brushes at a price that will make your wallet just as happy as your face.
1. Real Techniques: These are medium priced brushes that are favorites amongst lot of beauty bloggers and Youtube gurus. They are available at Ulta, Target, Drugstore.com and other drugstores.
2. Sonia Kashuk: My personal favorite out of the group, these are great medium priced quality brushes and have lasted me for years, despite frequent use. I use my Sonia Kashuk brushes everyday and they work just as well, if not better than some of my higher end brushes. I recommend purchasing a kit from them like this one or this one, as they are more cost effective that way as well as. These brushes are available at Target and Target.com
3. E.l.f: Unless you've been under a "makeup-less rock" for the past few years, you've probably already heard all about elf's affordable makeup line. Although from my experience, elf products tend to be a hit or miss, their brush collection seems to be overall pretty solid. Brushes in their regular collection is $1 and $3 for their studio collection. I've tried several brushes from both collections and overall would recommend their eyeshadow brushes and the flat doom powder brush (a steal at only $3). Elf brushes are available at Target and elf.com.
4. Ecotools: Ecotools are great affordable brushes for the environmentally conscious makeup wearer. They offer a full line of brushes made from bamboo and are 100% cruelty free. There products are widely available in Ulta, Target, and most drugstores, making them a great medium price brush option, especially if you need to buy brushes in a pinch.
